We had the security tooling before Aevis arrived. What we did not have was anybody turning what it produced into decisions.
Every one of our four suppliers was hitting its numbers. The estate was still getting worse. That turned out to be a structural problem, not a performance one.
We assumed we needed a new platform. What we needed was to agree how we actually work and then stop configuring around not having agreed it.
The first thing Aevis gave us was an honest device count. Everything we had argued about for a year turned out to be downstream of not having one.
Two suppliers had told us it needed rewriting. The one that asked how we would ever schedule the switchover was the one we went with.
We had been buying people by the month for a year and a half. The useful question turned out to be which parts of it were actually a deliverable.

What publishing a quote here commits us to.
Named, roled and placed
Every testimonial carries the person’s name, their role and their organisation. A quote we cannot attribute is a quote we do not publish.
Approved before it appears
The wording, the attribution and the engagement reference are confirmed in writing by the person quoted before publication, and withdrawn on request without discussion.
Edited for length, never for meaning
Quotes are shortened only where the omission is marked, and typography is normalised. Nothing is rephrased to strengthen a claim.
